Empire for Liberty: A Sovereign America and Her Moral Mission

Jesse Helms, one of the most masterful conservative political figures in American history, eloquently engages the multitude of crises that have arisen in American foreign policy since his reign on the Foreign Relations Committee. Senator Helms' signature statement 'no' is embodied in his wrangling of U.S. involvement in the UN. By confronting the Security Council, the Star Chamber of global elites and insisting on reform, restructuring and a fair American contribution, Helms was able to capture the imagination of the American population. Through his stubborn, but courtly approach, Helms takes on dictators from Cuba to China and asserts American primacy from the UN to the IMF. This is an excellent read with a focus on content, but with a rare style of tongue-in-cheek sarcasm.
