Great Book

This is a very powerful story about life in an E. R. The book shows the feelings and problems of the staff, the wounded, and the families waiting. The author writes the very essence of the difficult things one must do in such situations. This is the best work yet.

Non-Stop Adrenalin Rush!

...It?s 4 p.m. and many people are packing up and ready to go home, but not Seth and Diana. Their volunteer shift at the city?s busiest hospital has just begun. If you are a fan of the hit television show E.R. than this book is for you. Caroline B. Cooney has done it again with this adrenalin pumping book on the life of an emergency room volunteer and the tragic lesson of life and death in the E.R.. From the beginning you know who can?t put this book, well, at least I knew.Alec is admiring his cousin?s new Harley-Davidson when he decides to go for a test ride. When Alec does not return with the time he was supposed to be home, his cousin gets worried and just before he goes to call Alec?s cell phone he notices the one and only helmet sitting next to were the bike stood. This is just one of the scenarios Seth and Diana have to face in their daily job as volunteers at the city?s emergency room.Caroline B. Cooney as written many books including, Flight Number 116 is down and The Fire. This book, along with her other books deserve a five-star rating, this one for the suspense, the laughs, and the true facts of life.

Behind the scences; a spine tinging look at the E.R.!

Exciting, extreme, death defying all in one. The book, Emergency Room, is a deep thriller every person could enjoy. Inside the E.R., author Caroline B. Cooney takes us to inchatment once again. Posing her work, she uses two college freshman as volunteers at a city hospital E.R. As an exciting event happens, like the 1st was a gunshot whom, the next ones beats it all to pieces. In this book, there's romance, humor, and defentily intensity. Drug addicts are being shot, babies are being stolen, and automible accidents are scraping people up with the blacktop. Each encounter will have you thriving for more. I recommend this book to each and every person who likes to be thrilled and to all you Caroline B. cooney fans, she certainly didn't let us down with this one.

A whole bunch of ER episodes in one book

I read this one in the 4th grade and it was first mature novel, as well as my first favorite book. I still read it now (at age 14) and love it again. Now I want to be a candystriper!! It's from different perspectives and a few stories go on at once, but it all comes together. So if you like anything in the medical field, General Hospital, action, etc. you'll love this book.

This was an excellent book! One of Cooney's best!

This was a "couldn't-put-it-down-for-a-minute" book. The setting in the book was constantly changing to keep readers interested at all times. From Gun Shot Wounds, to a Moter cycle accident, Caroline B. Cooney's Emergency Room was action packed. I've read many books about hospitals and emergency rooms, but this one is the best because it is the most realistic! This is definitely a must have book for anyone who likes action packed books!
