This do it yourself book is great for anyone looking to gain greater knowledge of the very interesting world of electronics. the project are usually within budget, and always worth every penny.

The projects in this book read like a list of weapons used by '60s comic book super villians. There are many projects here that are quite interesting and should produce interesting effects that can be observed in the classroom or other demonstrating environments. Most require or produce high voltage and this is what I would consider the books major strength - it is an excellent reference for high voltage electronics, applications and build/design methodologies. The focus on high voltage applications makes the book a nice reference for engineers that want to learn more about this specialty.

This book really is one of kind!! It has all kinds of great high voltage projects. The diagrams, schematics and pictures are of the highest quality. This book picks up where his last book - Lasers, phasers and ion ray guns left off. All of the circuits use up to date components and technologies that are inexpensive and easy to find. Thanks to Iannini for this great book.
