pandora's box for the numanoid

usually these sorts of books fall flat after just a couple of pages, not Electric Pioneer. No, this is something altogether much more cohesive, so good in fact that Gary Numan sat down and wrote the foreword to the book (and if that isn't a good enough recomendation that what else is?) Author Mr Goodwin (British i believe) has delivered the kind of book that true music fan's dream of, bootlegs, official releases, alt covers, foriegn releases, tv appearances, dvd's, videos - i mean, cmon, its gary numan for flips sake!!!! Top stuff.

awesome numan book

i've been waiting for this book to be given a US release and i must say i'm impressed, the writer is obviously a huge fan and has captured Numan's entire music career with aplomb. For a newly converted fan like me this book is invaluable. Page after page of posters, record sleeves and more detailed info than you could possibly cope with. Hats off to the writer, no wonder its authorised. Superb

80s synth pioneer career biog

i first saw Gary Numan on saturday Night Live back in 1980 when i was 13 years old, back then he was promoting an album called The Pleasure Principle. Sadly his profile in the states sunk as the 80s got underway and it wasn't until 1998 that he finally returned to touring in America. This book cronicles Gary's wilderness years as well as his big selling one. Personally i found this book most interesting as most of the music detailed with in i just didn't know about. Its well written throughout and touches on Gary's music, videos and live shows (as well as a ton of other sub catagories. Highly recommended.
