Budge was a fool. He didn't research. He just wrote, and not very creatively.

I've been trying to find authentic and accurate resources for Ancient Egypt culture, fashion, traditions, etc- I had found another book by Budge and the reviews were all five stars, so I had trusted that it would be a good read. Both of the books I had gotten from Budge were incredibly hard to understand, and I also came to the conclusion that I wouldn't be trusting old scholar texts anymore, given the history of "Egyptology" and the amount of orientalism & racism that goes unchecked. Just a real big "no thanks" from me.
