Eenie, Meanie, Murphy, No!

Eenie, Meanie, Murphy, No was a book filled with twist. It starts off with this girl named Collette who is heading off to Calvary Camp where she would meet her two friends Sarah and Marsha who already hada cabin ready. The Murphy's were running late as usual, but when thay got to camp a boy named Tommy helped Collette to move her suitcaes into cabin seven which had always been Peally'd cabin who is this really rude girl. I have been to camp before and when you go there is always one person that seems to pick on you. It could be because you are competitve in sports, or they like the same girl or boy you like or they want to stir up trouble. In this story Collette and Peally both like Tommy and Peally tries to get Tommy to like her more by doing things and saying it was all Collette's diary that has written stuff about Tommy and reads it to the whole camp and changes some of the entries around. In the end Tommy finds out what Peally has been up to and gets mad at her and tries to get Collette to forgive him. When I was reading this book it didn't seem that interesting at first, but once I got to reading it I really enjoyed the book because there is a Peally out there everyday wheather you are the Peally or someone else is.

Cabin Heat

I liked this book because the author really takes her time writing detail and using strong verbs. Collette Murphy, a friendly ten year old girl knows she's going to love camp. What could be better than staying in a cabin with her two best friends Marsha and Sarah? Maybe even meeting a cute boy named Tommy. But when Collette gets to camp four hours late, she is taken aback. Peally, a blond haired nasty girl does terrible things like hanging Collette and her friends underwear and Marsha's bra that she had hoped to wear all over the trees and cabin and putting a note on the door that reads "Rugrats are too little to wear bras'. So when Collette's diary disappears she knows right away who stole it. Peally! What could be worse?Read this book to find out whether she gets her diary back. I think the author's message is about standing up for yourself when you are dealing with bullies and that if you try hard enough maybe things will turn out fine. So if you like books that are funny and surprising read Eenie, Meanie, Murphy, No!
