Tired of eating out? Seems like all the chains have all the same dishes? With this cookbook you can make that Asian-glazed Salmon yourself for a better price and healthier end product. Got this on a whim at a mark-down bookstore. Full of great tasty recipes, easy to make for a busy person. Why spend 20-30 minutes at a "fast" food place waiting in line, or waiting for a table at a large chain restaurant when you can make your own delicious meal in minutes?! I don't have time for anything fancy, but this book makes it easy to make interesting dinners every night of the week that are good for you. Each recipe displays the calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, carb, and protein content. Also shows how long it takes to make it, and how many servings. Directions are easy to follow. I think they over-estimate the sodium content for the meals, because I've compared the ingredients to what they list and it doesn't come close. Chapter titles: Making Meals Healthier, Meats, Poultry, Fish & Seafood, Meatless, Side Dishes & Desserts, Index, Emergency Substitutions. I use this cookbook more than a couple other top-shelf cookbooks, which are some of my faves for desserts and breads- but this one rules for dinners!
