Storyfest.com folks recommend this book.

I learned of Amos Niven Wilder in a discussion of this book, first published by Harper and Row as "The Language of the Gospel: Early Christian Rhetoric" from Bob and Kelly Wilhelm who operate Storyfest. Harvard U. Press has reversed the original title and subtitle, but Wilder's message is unchanged: each person can "tell the story" of (Christian) experience without memorizing verses from scripture.
