Drums (Houghton Mifflin Reading)

This is the second book in the Houghton Mifflin Reading Books. It is a wonderful follow-up to the book 'Bells'. This was recommended to me by a first grade teacher, to help with my daughter's reading. It has been a wonderful confidence builder! Each story in the book builds on the previously learned words and adds a couple of new words per story. I liked this series so much that I have purchased them for myself! The only problem is that this series is now out of print and you will be lucky to get them. I definitely recommend these to anybody trying to teach their child to read or for a confidence boost for somebody struggling with early reading! What a joy it is to see my daughter smile when she 'gets' the story!
