Great Book for the Era

Got to love drug facts from 1967! I especially enjoyed several definitions of drug related terms I had never encountered before. For instance, cold turkey comes from the gooseflesh heroin addicts have during withdrawl. Kicking the habit also comes from the kicking during withdrawl. And, finally, hip is derived from sores that would appear on your hip bones if you were an opium addict because you would lie on one side or the other to smoke. Neat, huh? Some of the other discussion is compelling for its era, but I don't think anyone would have such a progressive attitude towards addiction these days.
