Dreamweaver 4.0

The book does everything but push the buttons for you. It has text to describe what's going on and what you are doing. It then provides examples that you work as you read the chapter. Things like "insert picture here, then change the text, then click this button..."At the end of the chapters, it provides you with activities to do. It states what it wants done, and then step by step tells you how to do. If you learn by doing, this is the book for you. It is not just a list of commands, it is a learning process. I learned to use Dreamweaver MX with this book and it was still easy for me (I guess knowing how to use a mouse and keyboard makes me a computer wiz :-)

I'm one of those people who need to do things to learn them. Manuals are fine if I already am very familiar with the software, but useless for learning. I've got a couple of books on Dreamweaver 4, including the one that comes with the software. I can't make myself work through them. This book is exactly what I need: introductory information and plenty of hands-on practice. I've just started using it and I love it already. Everyone's different, but for my learning style, this is the perfect book.
