Great Research and An Amazing Interpretation Method

I bought this book more than 10 years ago and it is still a great guide to learning about your dreams and their meaning to your life. As this book points out, they show you the past, the present and the future. Also included is a proven method to interpretation that I've used many times which is so simple a school kid could do it. I have no other reason to buy another book on this subject, this is pretty much THE book to read on dreaming. Most other books on dream symbols have nice little pat answers that have no personal bearing on your life. An airplane might mean travel to one person and could spell toxic fear to another, so there's no universal symbology in dreaming. Check this book out.

A Worthy Book

The field of dreamwork is full of mass market books that really have nothing to offer. This book is different, really a gem in the area of psychic dreams. Some of the case histories are astonishing, and inspiring. David Ryback genuinely investigates the phenomenon of precognitive dreaming in a refreshing way. I have had dreams that came true, and this book is the truth.

Learn to interpret your dreams, with your symbolic meanings

I have looked around and there is no other book like this one, it is truly marvellous and a great tool to use. It is the opposite to Jane Anderson's "Sleep on it and change your life". In comparison this book points out that the symbols of a dream is highly personal and it's what they mean to you that will teach you something about yourself, when you interpret them. If you use somebody elses meaning of the symbols, how are you supposed to understand yourself better?David makes great examples to make you understand why your own interpretation is what matters, not what somebody tells you that a bridge symbolises. Throughout the book, the easyness shines through. Once you've read it, there will be no doubt in your mind as to what the book was about, or ment to tell you.I have come back to this book over the years and I finally managed to get a copy of my own, just a few months back - it has been out of print for years now. I was a teenager when I first borrowed it from a library and didn't have any money while it was still in the shops. I feel very lucky that I have gotten my hands on it now and it feels safe knowing that it is available whenever I need it on my own shelves;-)I think that this is an interesting way of reading research results, cause that is really what the book started out beeing. I also think that many people will find it a relief to know that the people whom this book tells about are among us, not being one in a million, but everyday people. Who does not necessarily hold any special religious or any other kind of belief, who does not live in a particular spot. That it's a subject that we all can make a little less loaded now that we've read the book, I think is what makes it an important one. This book is many things, it's a research summary, but it is also a discussion of what types of dreams there are and the definition of a "true-coming dream" and what is not a "true-coming dream" according to the author - we get a philosophical discussion as well as the psychological one. And if that wasn't enough it also shows you a comprehensive way to interpret your dreams with the help of someone you trust. It ends with showing how a few different people have been guided throughout their lives by their dreams. - The transforming powers of dreams, as the title suggests. Enjoy!
