While perusing the kids' section at the local library, I ran across this book. Thinking it might offer an easy introduction for my daughter, I checked it out. The book is approachable for even the youngest of children, but here's the surprise: it's a wonderful primer in drawing for adults as well! The author doesn't attempt to teach an art course in this thin book, but she does an amazing job summarizing, very simply, many key concepts in drawing. She even tackles drawing people, and her approach managed to take me from drawing (unintentionally) humorous figures to recognizable, properly-proportioned people in fairly short order! I've since ordered this book; it's simply too helpful to avoid having my own copy handy. It's hard to believe, but for this amateur hobbyist artist, this book is far more useful than most of the other drawing books I've managed to accumulate over the years. Take an honest look at it and see if you don't have the same experience. Thank you, Paige Henson!
