This series of books chronicles the adventures of our unlikely hero: Wiglaf. He's a real underdog: small for his age, and hates violence - but we love him for it. His best pals are a very spirited yet overweight young man, and a princess dressed up as a boy so she can get into the academy. A real bunch of misfits. These are wonderful books with a great lead character. He's my hero! Very cute books with a taste of adventure and the underlying theme of: "Being smart is better than being strong".
