A Must Read!

A very helpful and easy to read account of the Dot Com Bust. Munroe's explanations are logical and rational - easy to understand without an ecomonics background.

advice for the next boom

You can read Munroe's book as a retrospective on the dot com era that ended in 2000-1. For that alone, his analysis is insightful. Showing how many were seduced by the bright new world unfolding on the Web. But another advantage to the book is to use it to prepare for the next upturn, the resurgence in the title. Invariably there will be one. Indeed, some commentators are suggesting that we are in it right now in 2006. But whether the latter proves true or not, high technology is definitely cyclic, and the cycles have not been abolished. From the book, you may get wisdom as due preparation for the next boom.

Much much more than a "I told you so" tale

Munroe does a great job of explaining what went wrong with the Dot Com bust and putting into perspective the future of the Net. Far from just a "I told you so" tale, Munroe paints an optimistic (but realistic) future of the Internet. It's very interesting, a quick read, and very well researched. Tapan knows his stuff! Best of all--you don't have to be an economist to 'get it'. Bill Wiersma, author of The Big AHA!

Dot-Com to Dot-Bust

This is a well documented and well written book on what went wrong with the Dot=com boom and bust. It's still relavent today with the new Tech related issues of today.
