Don't Stand in the Soup

I am 24 years old and was recently looking for some books for my ten-year-old brother to read. I have been an avid reader since age 5, so I was attempting to remember things that would interest him. I read this book when I was around 12, and I STILL remember the title. I came to this site to find out who the author is, and if you have children I would recommend this book to you. It's funny without being sexual, rascist, or sarcastic, which is really saying a lot (i.e. compared to many television programs.)
