Don't Keep Silent

Elizabeth Goddard takes us back to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to wrap us this suspenseful series. In Don't Keep Silent we finally get to learn about Liam McKade's past and what lead him back to Emerald M Ranch, the one place in which he never thought he would return. We are introduced to the woman, Rae Burke, who was part of the reason he left his former life as a special agent. Just when Liam thought he had escaped the demons that lead him back to Wyoming, he realizes that they followed him and he would have to face this evil again before he could move forward. Liam and Rae are forced to work together to solve a missing persons case and to stop the repeat of events from their past. I had a hard time putting this one down and figuring out who was behind what was always a mystery. I believe that is one of the hardest things for an author to do and those who can make their story unpredictable are geniuses! This is by far my favorite read from Elizabeth Goddard! Are you looking for a adrenaline pumping, attention grabbing, and suspenseful read? This is your book and Elizabeth Goddard is your author.

Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is the third book in her Uncommon Justice series. Investigative Reporter Rae Burke is on the trail of her missing sister-in-law when she has to ask former DEA agent Liam McKade for help. This story takes you into the back country of Jackson Hole, Wyoming during the winter. Where you not only have to battle the elements but all the bad guys that are hot on your trail looking for revenge! Rae was always trying to measure up to her late father’s memory. His motto seemed to be “if you see an injustice “Don’t Keep Silent” do something about it! This was a great edge-of-your-seat thriller with some difficult topics addressed. Liam and Rae both had to forgive the things from their past to be able to move on with their future. I really enjoyed this book. I received this book from the publisher for my honest review.

Don't Keep Silent is a wow-I-did-not-see-that-coming kind of book. Never having read any of Elizabeth Goddard's books before, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I will be looking for more of her stories. Even though Don't Keep Silent is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice series, it is well-read as a stand-alone story. The author fills in enough of the backstories of the characters which keeps the reader from having lots of questions about what has gone on before in their lives. The characters are colorful and riveting, as well as realistic and either likable, relatable, or despicable. Rae and Liam had been involved in circumstances previously, and things did not end well. I enjoyed watching their relationship begin again and evolve into more than colleagues looking for a missing person. The book's setting brings out the beautiful imagery of the winter ski resort area of the mountains of Wyoming. The dialogue flowed seamlessly without sounding forced, and most of the book, with its non-stop action, was unpredictable. I like how the author revealed things layer by layer, keeping me wondering how scenarios were ever going to work out. Readers who love exciting, heart-stopping mysteries will not want to miss Don't Keep Silent. It keeps you eagerly reading until the very last page.
