Don't forget this book,I have been an active hiker for 28 yrs and have to say this book has been a great tool to help me keep my gaer in great working order. Gear can last a lifetime and I enjoy maintaining what I have instead of forking over dough for new gear. Kristin's book enables you to quickly and easily repair fix and maintain your gear so it lasts a lifetime. There is nothing worse than mid way through an outdoor experience having an equipment malfunction, leaky tent etc. What a bummer that can be. I have been looking for a book like this for quite a while and did not expect that it be be so cheap and concise without compromise. Kristin was a gear editor for BackPacker magazine for a number of years, I hope some more useful books like this are in cue.See you on the summit if the weather's O.K.Hurley
