Solid approach to survey research

The Nardi book provides a strong basis for learning how to use quantiative survey research. I've used the book with undergrads and graduate students, and find that most of the book is simplified enough for students to understand. The book is compact and explanations are clear. Compared to some of the competitors, this book is more user friendly for students. The examples are valid. Even students who don't understand quantitative research can gain information from some of the basic chapters. I find the instructor's manual to be useful. I'm glad I adopted the book for my students.

Excellent source for help on research methods.

Nardi provides clear and understandable information in regards to research designs and methods. I would suggest this book.

Great resource

I'm a graduate student conducting a survey for my thesis. The Nardi book is, by far, the single best text that I've come across for doing survey research. It combines good chapters on survey design, but it really shines in providing a primer on key statistical methods for analyzing survey data. I don't have a strong stats background, but Nardi's text is very accessible and to the point. It clearly discusses the various stats options for examining survey data and points you in the right direction for more detailed inquiry, if necessary. After plowing through countless dry, mind-numbing stats texts this book was a god-send!

A very helpful book for doing research

In spite of being a person with a Ph.D., research has never been my strongest suit. That is why I enjoyed this book; it brings research down to earth and makes it easy for me to analyze data related to my work. I wish I had this book for my survey research class when I was in college!
