Following the successful Why Cats Paint, Dog Works examines the motivations behind doggy engineering feats, and contemplates a link to spiritual transcendence. This description may be from another edition of this product.
I enjoyed this book and have bought it as a gift. It's a fun book and I don't care if the dogs really built the works listed or if someone decided it would be fun to pretend that they did. As a dog owner, I know that dogs can do some funny little things, like lining up chew toys in a special order and it piqued my imagination that perhaps the little things I've seen mine do mean that dogs are not too far off from creating something bigger that has meaning to them. Don't let the issue of hoax vs real keep you from enjoying this book.
Truly Stunning

I found this book to be a truly stunning example of combining text and photos in a smooth and enjoyable storyline. The text was a combination of enjoyable stories told with a slight "tongue in cheek" attitude. When accompanied by the high quality of photographs it makes a book that would sit well in any home and would create a conversation if displayed in a prominent position. Very enjoyabe .....I would recommend this book to all people - whether they are dog-lovers or not - it has elements for all to appreciate.
Every animal enthusiast needs to read this

A keen fascination is what compelled the realisation of this very intriguing book. I was amazed to learn how some dogs behave, and the possible motivations explaning their creativity. This book has given me a much greater appreciation and overall insight into understanding our canine friends. And the photography is outstanding! The use of silhouette and shadowing is beautiful, and the photos capture the individual personality of the animals, bringing them and their work to life. This is a book every animal enthusiast needs to read, and should own. You are going to want to share this!
Dog Works is the most 'fab' book I have ever read.

By Amber Crowther (10 yrs) Tasman Bay, New Zealand. This book is amazing it shows the dog talents and the story that belongs to them. It shows that a dog is just not a dog, but one has many talents hidden within them. The book has lovely photographs and stories of the dogs. I especially like the poem in the front in memory of Titch & Minka "Sun, saltwater , sticks & sand - fish & chips, your leash in my hand" to Titch love Bella. If I had to rate this book out of ten, I would rate it ten out of ten. Dog Works is the most fab book I have ever read. I recomend you should read this book.Amber Crowther, New Zealand.
