great story

I am enjoying the series. I enjoyed this book so far and will look forward to other books to P.C. Cast.

Great read

This was a great read and an amazing end to the series. I look forwad to reading Elphame's Choice and stepping back into Parthalon.

Divine Goodbye

I didn't expect to enjoy Divine by Blood as much as I did. I've read both Divine by Mistake and Divine by Choice, I liked the story where it stood and didn't see a need for a third novel. fortunately curiosity got the better of of me, otherwise I would have passed by an excellent book. Morrigan Parker was born to be somone very special, only she doesn't know it yet. What she does know is that she has never felt like she belonged. Strange Voices in the wind, Odd abilities, why are things happening to her? Raised by Grandparents who aren't really hers, and longing for the mother who wasn't who they told her. Eighteen years of secrets are about to come out. As Morrigan faces the truth about her mother, two paths are set before her. Will she head the call of the Goddess or be lost to the darkness? P C Cast has a gift for creating worlds that are breathtaking and utterly believable, with depth and richness that causes a deep emotional connection. Divine by Blood can be read as a stand alone novel, But I highly recommend reading the trilogy. Book 1Divine By Mistake Book 2Divine By Choice also you might likeElphame's Choice 1 (Luna) and 2 Brighid's Quest two stories about the children of Shannon's Grand Daughter, of which I hope there will be a third.

Divine fantasy

Morrigan assumed she was a normal Sooner teen with wants and desires similar to her peers. However, when she turns eighteen, Morrigan learns the truth that she is not just an Oklahoma native; instead she learns her roots are literally magically from a tree and a centaur. Her mother Shannon Parker wanted her daughter to avoid all the otherworldly woes that she twice faced (see DIVINE BY MISTAKE and DIVINE BY CHOICE), but now regrets her decision as Morrigan is outraged and upset. Her explosion opens the portal to the world of Partholon, which she enters expecting to be treated with adulation and respect as befitting the offspring of the goddess Incarnate. Instead she is treated as an unwelcome outsider. Desperate to belong, she causes problems for the residents of Partholon as she is the Light Bringer whose efforts lead to a growing darkness that is engulfing the realm; her only ally is a shaman centaur warrior The third Divine fantasy is a major departure from the previous two and not just because the next generation is the mover and shaker. The story line retains the fast-paced rate established by Shannon's starring escapes, but provides greater insight into Partholon through the amazed, dazed and razed teen. This is one fantasist who knows how to cast a spell on her readers. Harriet Klausner

Excellent conclusion!

What if events here were mirrored elsewhere, in a land where Goddesses and Gods still roam? Oklahoma never seemed like home to Morrigan Parker. The truth of her birth has been hidden from her until now, shrouded in secrecy by Shannon Parker's parents to protect Morrigan. Unfortunately, the dark god, Pryderi, wants Morrigan for his own, just as he craved her birth mother, Rhiannon MacCallan, once Epona's Chosen. Will Morrigan choose to follow Pryderi or will she follow the light instead? What a hauntingly beautiful conclusion to this fabulous trilogy! DIVINE BY BLOOD can be read as a stand alone, as all of the necessary details are provided. Please note, however, that numerous MAJOR spoilers are given for the two previous books. P.C. Cast is simply a master at wringing emotions from the reader as this tale made me laugh, cry, and even steam in anger and outrage. P.C. Cast covers a lot of ground in DIVINE BY BLOOD, as she begins with the wonder of Morrigan's birth and progresses till Morrigan reaches a true understanding of her heritage. Every moment is to be cherished, as P.C. Cast makes excellent use of her creation of the two worlds mirroring one another. It is with some sadness that this trilogy concludes. The first book in the series, originally published as GODDESS BY MISTAKE and later republished as DIVINE BY MISTAKE, still remains one of my favorite books by this fantastic author. P.C. Cast once again does a superb job at blending together the mythology of her fantasy world with the mundane world of Oklahoma. Kudos, Ms. Cast! COURTESY OF CK2S KWIPS AND KRITIQUES
