Doggie gourmet shop owner, Quilla Day, has had her share of broken promises. First it was her father, who promised to love and protect her but instead he emotionally abused her. Another is a murderer who plans to end Quilla's future before she can identify him to the police. Can Quilla put her trust in Denton and take a chance at love or will the threat of danger keep her from expressing her true feelings? Candace Poarch has delivered a well written book with likable characters, a good storyline and steamy love scenes.
