To bring back the age of the dinosaurs, all it takes is folding some pieces of paper Using the ancient and magnificent art of origami, construct an entire prehistoric world of dinos. Mastering the basic folds is so simple that it takes less than 10 pages of instruction to show you how to. Once you've got those down, start having fun. Follow the generously sized, colorful diagrams and see the animals' bodies emerge, including a long-necked, graceful brontosaurus; the squat, low-to-the-ground pelycosaur; and a velociraptor, looking all ready to head out on the hunt. Or, try your hand at the pteranodon, compsognathus, triceratops, tyrannosaurus, stegosaurus, ankylosaurus, and more.
I really enjoyed making these for my son. He's not quite old enough to do it himself but I like to make him a new one for him to find each week.
Good basic dinosaurs

This book contains a small collection of dinosaur models. Some require a little more imagination than others, but the origami enthusiast should be able to create a nice collection of prehistoric beasts in just a short time. The illustrations are very clear and easy to follow and the overall look of the book is very pleasing utilizing clear creative photography. There is some use of multiple pieces of paper which might be unwelcome to some folders, but it is a nice collection of animals at a beginner to low-intermediate level.
Some of the explanations should be made more clear

You need patience with Origami, if you have the patience these models will please your students. My students made these models (5th grade) to go along with a dinosaur unit.
Dinosaur Origami

I strongly disagreed with the previous reviewer. My 8 year old son picked up the first book (Fantasy Origamy)and was able to fold a whale in 2 tone colors in 30 mins. He took the book and shared it with his classmates and many of them folded different animals during their freetime without guidance (and enjoyed the activity tremendously). I find the instruction very easy to understand; the cutting to accomplished certain shape and curves (which make the animals look real) is very innovative and artistic by itself. Who said that origami (ART) had to conform to traditional style without cutting. My son was so excited when I got the Dinosaur book for him since he recognized all dinosaur names and shapes today. He is sharing this new book again with his friends and classmates tomorrow.
