The Dinka of the Sudan

Mr.Deng has written another scholarly work on Sudan, this time on a particular tribe that has inhabited the country for centuries-the Dinka of the South, including Bahr al-Ghazal, the old slavery province, as well as Kordofan. This group numbers over 2,000,000 out of a total population of 15,000,000 people. The Dinka make up a large minority out of hundreds of other tribal groups. Their ways and customs go back centuries and reveal very old Sudanese traditions.
