Someone who knows the difference between fat and fad!!

Dr. Antonio breaks through the dense world of fad diets and gets to the point! What makes us fat is not just the kind of food we eat but how we eat it and the lifestyle that exists with it. As a psychologist I am more then aware that a short-term change in my diet will end up being a short-term loss in weight. If I can't make long term behavioral changes that help keep weight off I may be doing more harm then good. Dr. Antonio's book gives us the information and support needed to make the mental as well as physical changes required losing weight. Thank you Dr. Antonio!

Finally, a fitness book thats sensible, realistic & fun !

Thank-you Dr.Antonio! This book is not like all the other "fitness/diet books" I have read in the past. This book makes sense! Being a Personal Trainer this book is a God-Send. It points out that fitness is a lifestyle, a journey . . . not a destination to be at in a month or two. It's about not beating yourself up if you have that cheesecake. No ones perfect, lighten-up, fitness is fun! I know what my clients are getting for Christmas!

The book is very well written. It explains diets and the pitfalls associated with them in terms that the average person can understand thus being able to get better results. The author uses humor while still being able to stick to the subject matter at hand.

This is a very entertaining yet informative fitness book

I loved this book! Dr. Antonio pokes fun at all of the goofy diet and fitness trends out there and gives straightforward and easy to understand advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He explains that being fit is a lifestyle, which means you have to think long term and be easier on yourself. I liked that he explained exactly what to do, but stressed that NO ONE is perfect....and that you have to cheat once in a while! This would be an awesome gift for someone struggling to get in shape...they would be very entertained by all of Dr. Antonio's witty anecdotes as well as his straightforward explanations on how to live a happier and healthier life!
