This book speaks for itself. It presumes so much that a very brief browse of its aims may help steady the reader. First, the givens: It consists of a dialogue between a woman and a being represented as "TO," "The One", whose perspective is beyond human scope. It extracts from Genesis chapters 1-3 a profoundly clarified view of the events suggested there. Its introduction of discrete individuals who played the parts of those "gods" and "lords" brings both sense and wonder to a tableau that has long been mystifying and suggestive, at best. It asserts that the community of self-aware beings pervades the cosmos. It acknowledges the formative influence of those literal beings, "Elohim" or gods. They radically influenced the generation of humans. This influence has actively continued down to the present time in religious and mythical axiology. In contrast to the typical sensationalistic reportage of "extraterrestrials," the responses from TO are kind. They do not abandon the heart of "true religion", which we take to be compassion and genuine concern for the well-being of all. TO comes as a wise elder whose set task is to bring his charge into a more adult world by supplanting the cherished illusions of childhood with an expanded, more factual view of the world. Rare the person who is equally and fully open to both the realm of spirit and the realm of the physical cosmos. This book takes full account of both.
