Good guide for inspiring thoughts in a troublesome time

First, this book as been re-titled "You're Not Alone" from Thomas Nelson publishers. Same content, different cover. We use the book to open discussion in a support group at church and it seems that everyone resonates with the struggles described in each small chapter. I thought enough of it to buy several copies to give to others who are seeking employment in these tough economic times. I would recommend it for anyone who is struggling with their emotions about being laid off and looking for work.
great resource for job seekers

"Devotions for Job Seekers" is a great resource for our Job Seekers ministry at church. I'm glad that when all of the current team members land jobs (hopefully very soon) the next crop of job seekers will have this book to continue the devotional time at the meetings. There are about 100 well written devotions inside.
Job Seekers Devotional

I use stories in this book to inspire those who are out of work and who attend the career ministry at our church. The stories are short, interesting, and tie scripture to the journey of job search. The author does a great job with it and he has clearly walked the path himself.
A Gold Mine of Wisdom and Encouragement.

This book is easy to read yet profoundly insightful. The author very succinctly captures the truth of our emotional reactions to unexpected job change. Even though my career change was voluntary, this book has still been extremely helpful and encouraging. I highly recommend it to anyone going through career change, or even to those hoping to better understand a loved one who is going through such change. I find myself frequently returning to it for guidance and support. At a time when it is easy to be overwhelmed by task-oriented details associated with reconstructing vocational life, this book is refreshingly direct and practical. The wisdom contained in this book is well worth your time and money.
