Developing C++ Software

Imagine a "For Dummies" book that covers C++, only it's it totally comprehensive, it doesn't have the tongue and cheek techno humor, and it introduces C++ in an entirely scholarly manner where if you actually read the book diligently, you will be on your way to mastering C++. I own about ten C++ books. And I have to say this book communicates the ideas and concepts of C++ far better than any other and is the book I go to when I want something explained clearly. It is loaded with examples, communicates appropriately through flow diagrams, and is packed with extremely well written descriptive text and explanations. The mode of communication is conversational and what I'd describe as a thorough tutorial style. There are exercises sprinkled throughout all chapters. And there are answers to all exercises in the back of the book! And yes! Coding exercises are answered with code examples! There was a negative comment from a reviewer who complained about the book's grammar. I can assure you that the the grammer of the book is correct enough to absolutely delight the scariest english professor you had in college. The prose is efficient and communicative. Yeah. I used the word "prose"! Russel Winder is no ESL case! He's English! And he writes extremely well. The best I've seen in fact in the realm of technical books. Cheers!
