Keri Arthur Book

Keri Arthur delivers a great new series with Destiny Kills. I am a big fan of her Riley Jenson series and have all of them. I am looking forward to the next installment of this series. If you like the paranormal, passion, mystery, and a little bit of humor thrown in then this a the book for you.

My fav. Author pulls through again

Really loved this book. I have read every one of Keri Arthurs books and although some not as FANTASTIC as others the VAST MAJORITY of time they are just that FANTASTIC. No matter what, she never fails to deliver, and I would never miss any of her excellent reads.

Great Fantasy Read

I picked this book up as an after thought. I have a few of her other books but have not gotten the change to read then yet. This book starts out with Destiny. She wakes up naked on a beach with a dead guy not knowing who or what is going on. She learns that she is a sea dragon that has escaped from a research facility that she has been trapped in for eleven years. She is trying to get to her dieing father to release his spirit to the other plain. She meets the brother to the dead man she woke up next to. He decides to protect her on her quest to her father and avoiding the scientists and hunters. After her father, she must return to rescue the other trapped dragons that have been kidnapped and tested on. I like how the story progresses. There was a romantic twist in it. And it was a fantasy about creatures that don't usually have stories on them, yes I've OD'ed on vampires and such.

Perfection!

Loved this book - once I started there was no stopping =) Kerri Arthur put together a wonderful story - beautiful romance between two interesting characters, and the thriller aspect was rather well written as well! Can't wait for the next book in the series.

First book in a great new series

Keri Arthur is known for her Riley Jenson, Guardian series. 'Destiny Kills' is the first in a very different new series by the author and one which this reader felt is very promising. Destiny McCree wakes up on a beach with just a dead man for company. Unfortunately she's also lost her memory although she knows she's trying to escape some people who are after her and who were responsible for the death of the man beside her. Fortunately for Destiny she gradually begins to recover her memory, aided by meeting up with Trae Wilson, a master thief who has some secrets like her own. Destiny and Trae are somewhat more than human and their preternatural abilities are what makes this book such fun. However they both have missions to complete, to rescue those in trouble who are dear to them, and these missions aren't necessarily compatible. As the action moves from Oregon to Loch Ness, we see Destiny at her most resourceful and supported by Trae with his own rather unusual skills. The book reached a satisfactory conclusion although there was an extra plot thread still to be explored, presumably in the next in the series. Overall this was a really enjoyable read with a lot of action, an interesting premise and a plausible romance. The story was perhaps a little thin on characterisation but the characters were nonetheless appealing and I was rooting for them all the way.
