I am not big on self-help books. Too many out there, all saying different things. This book however, is an exception. Based solely on the 12 Step program, this book manages to go beyond your basic 12 step books. It actually dares to give you tools to use once you become sober/abstinent/clean. There is no question that the Big Book is the Bible for addicts wishing to arrest their illness. Larsen's book is a useful and powerful addition to your "recovery" library. He is full of insight and positive action and actually encourages you to continue your 12 step adherence while considering that recovery is more than just getting rid of the substance. This book is wonderfully written - although if you are not part of a 12 step group, you probably won't understand much of what he is saying. BUY THIS ONE and keep it close to you at all times.
