For different reasons, an FBI agent and a tabloid journalist are interested in the desk first used by a young attorney during his first job at the Department of Justice in Washington, DC. Years later after a long career, the attorney is confirmed by the Senate as Attorney General of the United States. During a press conference, the Attorney General announces his intention to work at the same desk he first used as a young attorney. FBI Special Agent Donald Fargo is assigned to locate the desk and transport it to the Office of the Attorney General at Main Justice. Pamela Pry is a writer for a grocery store tabloid. She believes there is a reason the AG mentioned his old desk other than one of nostalgia. She believes there is a mystery associated with the old desk that would make a sensational article for a tabloid.
