What a wonderful idea -- an intimate look in words and photos at some of the world's most influential designers and their candid thoughts on the designers and interiors that have inspired them. An elegant, eloquent, and informative book.

I have come to watch with eager anticipation for each of Ms. Gray's works, as they consistently include dazzling photography and sophisticated commentary on interesting subjects. This book is in keeping with her others on architects and directors. Absorbing, fascinating, well-written, beautifully crafted. I'm sure it would make a welcome holiday gift.

Susan Gray has put together another great inspirational tale of designers we are all familiar with. As a student, I found this book to be well organized and to the point. Some amazing stories, most of which would have never been told, are revealed. I first learned of Ms. Gray's work in Writers on Directors, which began her series.
Very inspiring

I loved Designers on Designers by Susan Gray. The title alone made me want to know more about how designers think when going about designing an interior. This book gives us the inside scoop of how famous designers think - what they look for, what they find vulgar and what they find vital. It is especially convincing because we are hearing the scoop from other inside designers. The photos are beautiful and I particularly liked the Do's and Don'ts section in the back - many helpful tricks of the trade from the experts! I highly recommend it.
