good fun reading, who knew werewolves lived among us

Who knew werewolves lived among us? I haven't read any of the other Wyndham WErewolf novels but clearly there are most which precede this. This romance/adventure comes after some others it seems as we first meet Derik, a werewolf who is struggling with his need to be the alpha of the Luckily instead of that he seems to have been fated to save the world and is sent off on a mission to take care of the reincarnation of Morgan Le Fay (a another person with a strange background - Dr. Sara Gunn) Dr Gunn has that she is an incarnation of the evil sorceress (arthurian or otherwise)- but one thing is clear that he cannot kill her - he is incapable of it - everytime he tries something happens - so instead he tries to rescue her and find out who is trying to kill her and why. This was teh first of MaryJanice DAvidson's novels I read and I loved it - the writing is sharp, the characters are fun, and I love the way she writes a whole culture and sociology for the werewolves along with physical attributes. Even writing a laugh out loud scene where Derik goes off for teh night (full moon) with an attractive she-wolf leaving Sara spitting with jealousy. Really good fun reading - looking forward to reading the rest of the novels in this series - and if you try this, try her vampire ones - really excellent reading too.
Davidson Does It Again.

I read the Undead series and was hooked on Davidson's writing style. She is truly witty and comes up with the most unique and interesting circumstances. Derik is a werewolf who lives with other werewolves. One of them is the known alphamale but as time passes Derik discovers his need to be an alpha male. One of the werewolves he lives with happens to be a psychic. Derik is sent away as a way to keep from fighting with the other alpha male. As well as to stop the reincarnation of Morgan LeFaye from destroying the world. Would you believe you were the reincarnation of Morgan LeFaye? This book shows the humourous side of making sure the world doesn't end, if at all possible. Must read for any fan of MJD.

Wonderful Werewolf Romp

Take a trip with a werewolf, a powerful sorceress, and a wonderful group of supporting characters. Maryjanice Davidson returns to the wacky world of the Wyndham Werewolves in this novel. Don't worry, if you haven't read the previous installments, this novel stands on it's own four feet and howls at the moon. A quirky, humorous walk on the wildside. The only problem is that when you have finished reading it, you want the next installment of lycanthrope lunacy immediately.
