Demon from the Dark (Immortals After Dark Series, Book 8)

Kresley Cole's story is wonderful just like all her books. She is a must buy. My only complaint is with the condition of the book. There was not a picture to view so when I purchased the book I didn't realize that I would not be receiving the dust jacket and that spine of book would be damaged.

Kresley Cole is one of my top authors I like to read. She and Gena Showalters are the Top writers. Kresley Cole’s books were among the first of my reads in Series “Immorts after Dark Series“. She kept my interest through out the story and gave enough details to make feel apart of it all. I started in the middle of one of her series and had to go back and buy them all. I wanted to know from start to finish. The same thing with Gena Showalters “Lords of the Underworld”. I have read them all and still have them all too. :-)

Just an excellent, sexy, exciting, heart-breaking book. Every character was interesting and you can't wait to find out more about them. I don't think I've read a better hero/heroinne coupling in a long while. Fantastic!

I have been a big fan of the IAD series from the very start. This was just another wonderful book in her series. This was Caveman meets sassy witch. I didn't know how Carrow's character was going to play out, but in the end it was FABULOUS!

Once again Kresley Cole has out done herself in the Immortals After Dark Series. I was enthralled from the time I opened the cover to the very last page. I have definitely become an Immortals follower and can't wait for the next novel.

The only bad thing about the IAD series is the wait before the next book is released. Yes, I am a total fan so this review probably won't be beneficial for someone new to the series. But I just couldn't go without leaving a review. If you like the IAD series then I can honestly say you should also like Demon from the Dark as well. Malkom is very "primitive" but once you learn his history, his behavior is completely believable. I never thought I could see the act of a man offering a woman severed heads as a gift as being romantic, but that's Malkom! Carrow was another wonderful heroine with a depth that I did not expect. She isn't just a party girl! The only thing I was hoping for in this book that I didn't get was more Nix! I've come to really love her character and she really only had one scene in this addition. But overall this was another wonderful tale in the IAD series. I'm anxious to read Regin's story now and hopefully find out more about that crazy human/berserker incarnate Declan Chase!

Amazingly, Kresley Cole has topped herself with a new Lore hero! Malkom Slaine, a vemon (1/2 demon /½ vampire), is damaged by his troubled past and has spent centuries being haunted by the beatings and betrayals he has had to endure. He lives for vengeance. Once you betray him, you pay. Enter Carrow Graie, party witch extraordinaire with her own damage. Carrow has been captured by The Order, an evil group rounding up immortals for their own nefarious reasons. The Order threaten to kill Ruby, Carrow's orphaned neice, if Carrow doesn't lure Malkom to the Order. Even though neither speaks the other's language, they are able to communicate. Many LOL moments with Malkom and Carrow "negotiating" in sign language! Though Carrow is falling for her vemon, she knows she must save Ruby. Yet another betrayal for Malkom, who is mesmerized by his mate. Will Malkom be able to forgive Carrow, just when she realizes she can't live without him? Whether he forgives her or not, Malkom's not about to let her go and will go to any lengths to keep her. Kresley Cole delivers yet another amazing installment in the Immortals After Dark series! And as an extra treat we get to catch up with favorites like Mariketa and Bowen, Rydstrom and Sabine. Malkom and Carrow's book is a page-turner you won't be able to put down!
