precious book for a precious man

not detailed enough to be a deep read but not big enough to be a coffee table book, yet still manages to be an overall charmer. most ysl books that were published after his death tend to linger on proustian references. the idea of yves' extended physical suffering from cancer coupled with the anxiety and proust can seem overly dramatized. this book gives a nice rounded somber view of ysl while still keeping his human characteristics intact. i wish this book was printed in a4.
