I love the characters, they are people we would all like as friends.

I would like to attend one of their Friday barbacues. I was a but disappointed with the slow pace and lack of action. The just waited for things to unfold. I would not give up the characters in exchange for more intrigue, but I would like both. This why in not running to read the second book.

Knitters beware!

Loved this......I don't even knit and I found it fun to read and became interested in learning to knit!

Wonderful!

I loved this book. In recent years I've read bunches of cozy mysteries and I can honestly say that this was the best of the best. Not only did the murderer remain a surprise until the end (I was SURE it was someone else), but there was not the usual plot lines like the main character nearly becoming the next victim in a final showdown. The best thing about this book was the atmosphere. It was like a vacation in a New England beach town. The author's descriptions of the town and it's inhabitants (which lacked the usual "whacky" characters)were so clear that you were sure you were visiting. The seaside knitters are people that I could come to love. I am hoping for more and more of this series. I have already ordered the first of the author's previous series - Queen Bee Quilters Mysteries - Murders On Elderberry Road. I am hoping it has the same quiet relaxing feel as Death By Cashmere. This book is perfect for a restful weekend. Order it now!

LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT

Earlier reviews give enough of the plot, that I won't repeat that (and the negative review was given by someone who only gave a good review to a classic childs book). I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this book. The characters were carefully formed in my mind by the author, even little Purl, the kitten who turns up in the apartment of the victim, and then is adopted by the yarn shop. The yarns and shop were pictured in my mind so well, that I'd love to visit this shop. I felt that the plot went in an unpredictable way, which I enjoyed. I didn't figure out "who done it" until pretty close to the end. Even the most definitive clue just narrowed it down to two. All in all, I am eagerly anticipating the next book from this author.

Excellent Read

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were interesting. I would love to see all the yarns described by the author. Looking forward to the next book in this series.
