Nelson is very adroit at condensing the pain and turmoil of a broken family into a form that even someone not affected by this type of tragedy can appreciate. More importantly, she then takes the reader through the steps of healing necessary to overcome this deep wound. I would highly recommend this book as a teaching tool or counseling tool.
Coping with Divorce

This is an excellent novel which deals with the pain and emotions of divorce and their effect on the family involved especially the children. Very topical for our divorce-ridden society, Nelson's work explores the emotional aspects of the aftermath of divorce and offers some excellent coping mechanisms for its victims. You will find the writing style very incisive and poignant. I highly recommend Dear Angie Your Family is Getting a Divorce.
