A well written & easy to understand book

Reviewed by Tabytha Joy (age 15) for Reader Views (7/07) "Dealing with Dad" is a book about keeping up with your changing father. This book has everything from what kind of father you have to talking about stepfathers. This book talked about how a divorce can play a huge role in a child's life. "Dealing with Dad" explains that it is okay to have a biological father and a stepfather. It's okay to love them both. Obviously, your mum and dad will cut each other down right after a divorce. But all you can do is ask them to stop saying that stuff when you are around. Divorced parents will also blame each other for things that happen. I really like the way this book is written. This is because the author organized this book in a way that makes it sound as if it was written from first-hand experience, meaning that it is organized well enough to make it seem more like a story than a guide. This book is very easy to understand. I also really liked how it had the "What Kind Of Father Do You Have" test. This is because it was actually correct about my father! Mine fell under dictator. But my father did always say "Because I said so." If I would have had this book before things went down the hole with my father, I think I would have better understood why everything was happening. I've enjoyed every bit of "Dealing with Dad." I'm really looking forward to reading another book by Joseph Perigot.
