John Dillmann's investigation of the true disappearance of Dr. Mark Sheppard. New Oleans is the backdrop. This description may be from another edition of this product.
If K. Cantrell "Criminal Minded" (Tennessee) thinks this is a bad read, then I don't think I'd be very interested in what she considers a good read. It may not be Dillman's best work but it's highly readable to those of us who live in the New Orleans market area. It also tells a lot about what homocide detectives do in a day's work, and an awful lot about the criminal mind. Dillman and co-workers, after a hard days work, go to a wateringhole to relax. It takes them a while to remember that not all people, including those at the wateringhole, are unlike the ones they've been chasing all day long. No kudos for Ms. Cantrell
