Deadly Deceit

This book was an unexpected good read. I was first introduced to Dr. Dix's writing with "Murder in the Heartland," another read I give five stars to. Like already mentioned, I too would recommend it to any lover of mystery and "forensic slueth" type novels! I first became aquainted with Dr. Dix when he did an autopsy on a very good friend who was killed in a boating accident at Lake of the Ozarks, MO 17 years ago. So, when I saw his name mentioned with "Heartland," I had to read it.....and was pleasantly surprised at how interesting Dix's writing was. Then, when I saw he had written this one, well, I just had to give it a try....and again, it is great!! I highly recommend it!! I couldn't put it down once I got started and I'm sure most readers will feel the same. Tommy Nichols; Dixon, MO

What a wonderful book for anyone interested in forensic pathology, forensic science, criminalistics, or anyone who likes a good mystery. Wonderfully described characters, whom you empathize with from the start. Detailed plot that makes the reader not want to put the book down.I would recommend this book to everyone.This is actually Dr. Dix's sophomore book, not his frosh.

This was a very entertaining read, and a great job a former professor of mine. Dr. Dix teaches in the medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and his wry sense of humor and entertaining presentations are reflected in this very enjoyable book. I would recommend it to any lover of mystery and "forensic slueth" type novels - Kay Scarpetta fans must check this one out !!! Good Job Prof., I give you an A+ on this one.
