Dark Secrets 2: No Time to Die; The Deep End of Fear

Elizabeth Chandeler is a gifted wtitter... she is able everytime to make the dark secrets book so good. I love these books.. and everytime i finsh one i go to the next one.. I found this book in my school libray.. I read this one first followed by "NO time to die" which was such a good book.. and read it over, b/c u will find so many good things in that book. then i read " The Deep end of fear" which iam actaully just finshing right now.. once im done this im reading the first book in the coollection " Leacy of lies" heres a breif summary: 17 year old Lauren comes back to Wisteria, Maryland 7 years after her famous mothers (Sondra) mysterious drwoning.. they said it was an accident but magazines and tabloids scream murder.. She has returned to her grandmother, Aunt jule. She treats Laurn as if she was her own child and gives her all the attentionn a person would ever want. Which makes her own daughter Holly jelous. Nora, anunt jules other daughter is slinet and spooky and stares at lauren with frightening intensity. She allso cliams that she talks and see laurens dead mother 'Sondra' and taht she get very angry wen laurn wears anunt jules dress and heart neckalce. Before seeing anunt jule. she stops at Wsiterias annual street festival adn meets Nick Hurley, a tease a flirt, a child hood paly mate. And falls for him.. the day is allmost perfect until she relizes shes being watch. Nick seems liek he wants to be more the Lauren freind. But the why all of a sudden does he become hostile and to lauern and guled to holly. how can she trust Nick, the guy that she is fallling for, but slowly has turned aginst her for no reason... how can she trust him or anyone now that a seris of 'accidents' have happned. Lauren beings to think that her mothers death was no accidnet it was murder,and now somone wnats her dead. The first word I haved to say is - wow. This is one of my all time favorite books. I couldn't sleep without reading this book; literally! It's a perfect murder mystery story, with a little bit of romance and sci-fi. Now listen carefully to me, GO BUY IT NOW! ~An 11-Year-Old Book Geek

Seven years ago, Lauren's mother was mysteriously killed in Wisteria. Now, Aunt Jule has asked Lauren to return to Wisteria for a visit. While in town, Lauren meets her old friend, Nick, who at first flirts with her and even ends up kissing her the night of the prom, he becomes cold and hostile to her because he thinks she pulled his cartoon from the paper. Holly, who would be cold to Lauren when they were kids because of her mother's sickening admiration, seems to have warmed up to Lauren and be more friendly to her. Nora, who was always very timid, has become out of touch with reality, thinks that Sondra, Lauren's dead mother, has come back to haunt her. Lauren's stay at Wisteria becomes more baffling and more suspenceful as the book goes on. A disaterous prom night, warnings, things moving by themselves, and people acting a little off around her, Lauren thinks she's losing her mind until she's locked in the boathouse with Nora by someone she truly trusted. Will Lauren be able to survive her stay at Wisteria or will the murderer succeed once again?

Oh My goodness! This book IS every star it earned! Not only does it have romance, but it has suspence, and keeps you wondering. I read it during the end of the school year, and every day I couldn't wait to get home just to read it. It was SO good. The ending, well...Let me just say that if you are like me and read the ending before the rest of the book usually...DON'T! It will ruin the whole thing! And I actullay didn't read the end first on this book...And o am I happy about that decision!
