The husband and wife team that make up Tori Carrington have penned another exciting scorcher, featuring a new bend on the usual crime boss. Great dialogue, plotting, and story execution (though I was not surprised with the culprit behind the Trainello hits). The only complaint I have is that it wasn't longer.

What a great book! Carrington brings the Mafia to Harlequin and doesn't hold back. True to life characterizations about running a "family" without the rose tinted glasses many romance writers want to wear. This no-holds barred story kept me turning the pages with anxiety. Being a romance, I assumed the ending; however, it seemed as though I may not get my HEA. I loved this book!!!!!!!

Lucas Paretti lived in the same neighborhood as the Trainella gang and was considering joining them until his brother was killed. He vowed to stay away from gangs, but with the return of his former girlfriend Tia, who to his chagrin has come home to run the family business, he cannot stay away. He revises his pledge to keeping his beloved safe even though she risks her life with her vendetta. This terrific dark romantic suspense thriller grips the audience with its deep look at crime mobs and the mean streets they own. The lead couple is a delightful paring as he wants a second chance at love while she thirsts for vengeance. Although the ending does not fit this sinister tale, fans will enjoy getting there as Tori Carrington spins a powerful gloomy crime thriller. Harriet Klausner

Dangerous by Tori Carrington is a story about the female mob boss and undercover FBI agent. The twist in this story is that Lucus the FBI agent and Gia the mob boss were lovers in the past. Gia father and brother were murdered and she has taken over the business until her oldest brother recovers from his gun shot wound. Lucus is undercover as their lawyer and try to protect Gia from going to jail for all her mob activity. The price was right and it has great twist and turns, Enjoy!
