A choice pick for anyone who freaks out over their real or imagined status as a screw up

When disaster happens, what you do next decides if it's a footnote or a great calamity. "Damage Control: How to Tiptoe Away from the Smoking Wreckage of Your Latest Screw-Up With a Minimum of Harm to Your Reputation" is a guide to making the least out of the worst. David Eddie writes that no one is perfect, and the difference between a perennial screw up and someone who isn't is how one responds to said screw ups. "Damage Control" is a choice pick for anyone who freaks out over their real or imagined status as a screw up.

A Book with a Big Heart

I'll confess right away that I have been a big David Eddie fan since the publication of his first novel, Chump Change, some time ago. That being said, there is much to Love here for the uninitiated. Mr. Eddie writes with a Big Heart, takes astonishing risks, and offers up a smorgasbord of sound advice for sticky situations. In particular, he steers his readers through Big Topics such as Relationships, Careers, and Marriage with both honesty and wisdom. I was reminded of another classic in its field, Charles Baker's The Gentlemen's Companion: Around the World with Jigger, Beaker and Flask, in terms of the quality of prose and the sheer damn fun of the thing. This book should be an instant classic if the world is ready for a an erudite, 6'5", tattooed, father-of-three, modern advice columnist. Let's hope it is - there's much on offer here.
