Legend Daisy Flowerdw

Daisy Flowerdew cannot speak. Everyone thinks she is dumb. but she is not. She is rejected by her mother and everyone laughs at her. Only her grandmother, who died, loved her with a pyre and loving heart. After she dies, Daisy has to go to live with her mother and step father who hate her and banish her in all kinds of hateful ways. It is when a paper doll saleman comes to the door and sells a book of paper dolls to Daisy's mother thjat the child begins to rally from the depths of lonliness and sorrow. To her amazement, the paperdolls come to life and at last daisy flowerdew has friends. This is an unusual book, one I think children and adult, too, will find they want to keep it on their book shelves and read it over and over. It is the favorite book of my twins, boy and girl.

Daisy Flowerdew can't read , write or speak. She is considered dumb by everyone. Her mother and stepfather hate her. She is alone it seems. But then one day a salesman comes to the door carrying paperdolls. Reluctantly, the mother buys a set for daisy. The paperdolls come to lifeand from then on the friendless Daisy Flowerdew has friends. In a dramatic rescue in the ending, the male paperdoll appears and saves Daisy from a fate worse than even her own miserable life has been. The whole town is amazed and awed and never the same after that.
