Miracle man

Was very funny , the story line goes through life and ways to solve things.

I Can Remember Fannie Flag When She Was On An Early Morning Show On Wbrc Tv In Birminfham. Even For An 8 Year Old She Was Histerical. My Only Regret Is That I Never Got To Meet The Queen Of Comedy!

Hilarious and intriguing

Why read about a girl who is borderline white trash growing up in the South in the 50s? Because it's personal, touching, and funny as hell. Fanny Flagg never fails me, and she has done it again in one of her earlier books which somehow slipped by me until now. Flagg's characters are homey, eccentric, and never dull. I don't see how you could read this and NOT be entertained.

What a refreshing read!

If I ever have a little girl, I would like her name to be Daisy Fay. Well, maybe not. However, Daisy Fay is one of the most unforgettable characters in the history of books ~~ at least in my personal journey through book reading! She is hilarious and she tells you like it is.There are several scenes in the book where you laugh out loud and you just have to share it with someone else. And the ending ... don't you just love a good story? If you find yourself reading a dark and gloomy book, be sure to pick this one up. After reading it, you will find your outlook on life so much brighter and cheerful. Fannie Flagg is a master storyteller and though this is the only second book of hers that I have read, you can bet that I will read the rest of hers. What is so memorable about Daisy Fay? Well, as a child of a broken home, she has managed to find humor in just about every situation of her life. She resists her mother's attempts to make her into a lady ~~ a secret desire just about every girl has ~~ and her father has always told her that he is so glad that he didn't have a son ~~ she was his heart. Daisy Fay captured a lot of hearts in this book and she is guaranteed to capture yours.

Review of Coming Attractions

"Coming Attractions" by Fannie Flagg is one of the most brilliant pieces of work I have ever read. It is absolutely hilarious, and very touching. It is about growing up with a young girl, named Daisy Fay. From day one she is getting into trouble. Her mother is busy trying to cover up her and her husband's bad relationship, while all 'daddy' does is sit around and drink Pabst Blue Ribbon all day, so Daisy has plenty of time to sneak in strip bars, be a Jr. Debutaunte and find an albino. The novel is in the format of a diary from Daisy at the age of six until in her twenties. This is a book that I feel every woman should read, you'll see a little bit of yourself in Daisy Fay! I believe the book is still in print, unfortunately, I don't know the name of the new novel.

I love this book. I haven't laughed so hard from a novel since I read Cold Sassy Tree in high school. I recommend this to anyone who feels nothing will ever get better, it might not, but is can get funnier!

I love this book

This may be the funniest book I have ever read. I recommend it to everyone. I actually ordered from an out-of-print dealer a first edition signed of this. Paid through the nose, but it was worth it.
