Great foundational material

Though the concept of Supply Chain is not new, it is a vague and elusive subject. So much of what has been published on the subject more resembles the typical functional areas of operations or traffic management. Supply Chain is so much more but is often mistaken for the former two. I particularly appreciated this book because of its elementary nature. It made it quite simple to rather quickly develop a comprehension and an appreciation for Supply Chain and, further,to be able to communicate this understanding to others in my organization who are still scratching their heads about this newly implemented function.
