I have been a medical transcriptionist for more than 25 years and this is the single most valuable resource that I have. This book was written for medical transcriptionists. Rather than focusing on the basics, it is written for the professional transcriptionist who has a fairly extensive knowledge of the field. Whenever I hear a word with which I am not familiar, more times than not, the Silver Book will help me. I use it more than all of my other reference books combined.
