Cupcakes

This is the best cupcake book on my shelf. I use it more and reference it more for ideas than I have any other book on the subject. They have included high quality, up close pictures of every cupcake that is featured, and they are all very beautifully and originally decorated. The only thing that would make this book perfect would be more details on how to decorate - such as what pastry tips are best, or how do i put the decorations together once the ingredients are mixed? Many of the cupcakes are self explanatory, or do include directions on assembly, but there are a few that could easily waste a lot of time for trial and error. It's still my favorite book, though!

This book is wonderful. I'm a big fan of cookbooks, especially ones that involve baking sweets, and this is my absolute favorite. These aren't your average out of a box cupcakes, these are decadent adult style cupcakes (though the kids loved them too!). Each recipe has a picture and fantastic decorating tips. The ingredients are top of the line (read: expensive) but totally worth it. They're also easy to make and don't go bad or get hard after a few days.
