This was a great read but mostly from an Anglo perspective. Should be read with supporting literature.

The enormous impact of women, both as contributors and as patrons, in the building of and continued growth of the arts throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona and California, receives particular attention. An informative and highly enjoyable book!
