Dabbah is a natural storyteller. She artfully combines the mundane with the "what if" aspect that thrills certain authors, such as Saramago, and Borges, amongst others, and her book of short stories is delighful to read. Each tale, written in Spanish, seems to pose a question, sometimes rhetoric, sometimes not. They all address different subjects, such as what would happen if certain words disappeared from dictionaries and could not be used, women and aging, a peculiar concept of time .... Dabbah questions the inner and outer world, and makes the questioning entertaining and food for thought. A great read.
